Bénodet makes a great base from which to visit places in Brittany: the Breton coastline with its fine-sand beaches, idyllic islands, coves, ports and other delights; Bigouden (Sainte-Marine, Pont l’Abbé, Pointe de la Torche, Penmarch, Loctudy and more), Quimper (capital of Cornouaille), Pointe du Raz, Concarneau, Locronan, Pont Aven and the list goes on… Trips go from Bénodet Port to the Glénan Islands (heavenly white-sand beaches with turquoise waters), while cruises sail along the River Odet past its banks with their châteaus, manor houses and forests – with the option of stopping off in Quimper. The little “Petit Bac” ferry also takes people across the Odet in a few minutes to reach Sainte-Marine and Bigouden.
